Bavški Grintavec

Description of peak:
Bavški Grintavec is a mighty mountain rising steeply above the valleys of Bavšica, Zadnja Trenta and Soča. All the approaches to the summit are long and, with the exception of the one from the Soča, also difficult. The most difficult is the approach from the Kanja saddle to the summit. As there are no higher peaks in the vicinity, it also has a beautiful view of the Central and Western Julian Alps. The most beautiful view is of the nearby Jalovec, which rises steeply above the Zadnja Trenta. The summit, which has a registration box, is also the highest in the ridge from the village Kal - Koritnica to Trenta.
