Hruška planina

Description of mountain hut:
Hruška planina is today a living cow mountain pasture with an altitude of 1378 m, accessible from several starting points near Plavski rovt above Jesenice and Hrušice. There is a well-provisioned shepherd's hut, where mountaineers heading for the nearby peaks like to stop. It lies in a sheltered valley at the foot of Rosenkogel, where a large herd of livestock graze alongside a marshy lake that is home to ducks, dragonflies and frogs. From here, it is possible to continue on to Kahlkogel, Klek, Hruški Vrh, Kleiner Frauenkogel and Dovško Baba. There is also a registration book on the wall of the hut.
