Lopatnik

Description of peak:
Lopatnik can be an accessible colon above the mountain pasture patch. Its diadem-shaped summit rises between the Vrata saddle and the Krnčice ridge. The top is without a registration box and stamp. It offers magnificent views over most of Julian Alps and beyond. On the summit there are many remnants of the First World War, reminding us at every step of the harsh times that the soldiers spent here.

In the morning, the summit likes to be shrouded in fog and clouds, which roll down around Krno. On hot summer days, however, it is a good idea to choose the early morning hours for the climb, as the southern slopes along which the path winds are exposed to the sun all day.
