Breznica - St. Lovrenc on Lovrenška gora

Access to the starting point:
First, drive to Škofja Loka and from there continue in the direction of Gorenje vas. In the village Podpulfrca (located just after Škofja Loka), leave the main road and turn right in the direction of the villages Breznik and Gabrovo (there is also a sign for the cottage at Lubnik on the side of the road). Follow the ascending road past the turnoff for the village Gabrovo to a large grassy hayfield, where the road makes a slightly longer right-hand bend. At the beginning of this bend, the road branches off to the left, leading towards the church of St. Lawrence. Park in one of the small car parks near the crossroads.

Path description:
From the crossroads, follow the road gently ascending towards St. After an initial climb into the forest, the road leads to a crossroads where you continue left along the road below. The road then leads us in a moderate downhill with beautiful views of the surrounding area to the Mežnar farm.
From Mežnar, continue along the road, but only to the right-hand bend, as it is there that a wide footpath branches off, which after 5 minutes of further walking leads us to the Church of St. Lawrence.
From the church, you can extend your trip to the nearby Lovrenška Gora (Lovren Mountain), which can be reached by an unmarked trail in 5 minutes' walk. The path to the top, which does not offer a view, is sometimes quite overgrown.
