Access to the starting point:
Via Kamnik, head towards Kamnik Bistrica and the cable car to Velika planina. If you are returning along the route past Sveti Primož, park at Stahovica and continue on foot, otherwise drive another 2 km to the Pri gamsu inn, where you park. Continue along the road over Konjski potok (just below the road it flows into the Kamniško Bistrica) and turn right along the road past the house.
Path description:
The road turns into cart track, which leads through a gorge. Pass the shooting range to the remains of the bridge, where cart track ends. Cross the stream here, continuing on the left side just beside the stream. The path is quite overgrown. When it does not go any further, cross the stream again. From here on the path is largely unmarked, but orientation is easy as you follow the stream. Cross side ravines (sometimes difficult). When the right bank of the stream (on our left) becomes easier to cross, we climb up onto the back of the forest and follow it straight up, where we come across a path that branches off right by the remains of the bridge (but the start is hard to see because it is all heavily overgrown). Keep climbing in the same direction until, at about 1000 m, you reach a hunting trail leading from the bottom station of the cable car at Velika planina to mountain pasture Kisovec. Follow it to the right. The path runs gently across the slope, occasionally rising in keys. Several ravines are crossed, the last one being the ravine of the Konjski potok (Horse Creek). From here steeply in the keys (Gamsove streže) to the marked path Stahovica - Velika planina. Cross it and descend along the marked mountain pasture to Kisovec and the mountain lodge.
The path described is impassable in high water.

Discussion about the trail Predkonjska - Dom na Kisovcu (through Konjska dolina)

Potka mi je padla v glavo, ko sem se večkrat spraševal, kam teče ta ozka dolinica na vstopu v Kamniško Bistrico. Danes sem jo prehodil do pričetka prečenja (slika 20), kjer sem se zaradi zmrzlega listja, ledu in pršiča vrnil. Opis je dober, sledljivost in zahtevnost ni težavna, je pa večkrat potrebno menjati pas ob potočku  . Na grebenu nad potokom je stezica kar lepo vidna. Skupni vtis pa - nekaj res močno odmaknjenega in tihega, popolno nasprotje Male planine od parkinga pred Calcitom.
