Preval - Koča Klobuk

Access to the starting point:
a) From the Ljubljana ring road, take the Ljubljana - Podutik exit, then continue driving towards Podutik. At the traffic lights near the parish church in Podutik, continue straight ahead, then gradually start climbing towards the Preval pass, where at the crossroads, turn right in the direction of Toškega čele (straight Dobrova). From the crossroads, drive for another 100 metres, then on the right-hand side you will see a suitable parking space with space for about 10 cars.
b) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper, take the exit Brezovica, then continue in the direction of Dobrova and Polhovo Gradec. At the end of Dobrova, the signs for Šentvid direct you to the right onto a narrower road. The road continues through Stranska vas, after which it begins to climb towards Preval. At Preval go left (straight ahead to Šentvid and Podutik) and drive for another 100 metres, then on the right hand side you will see a suitable parking space with room for about 10 cars.

Path description:
From the starting point, return along the asphalt road to Preval in a few minutes, where you carefully cross the main road Dobrova - Podutik, and then continue along the cross into the forest on the marked trail leading to the final bus stop in Podutik. From Preval, the trail climbs moderately at first, then flattens out and soon splits into two parts. The left path leads further towards Podutik and we continue slightly right on the unmarked path leading to Stražni vrh, Klobuk, Bokalci. . . Although the trail is not marked, we can see some unofficial markings along the way, and orientation is not particularly difficult due to the good orientation of the "main" trail.
From the crossroads onwards, the path climbs gently for a short time, then descends to a small pass, where there is a crossroads of several kolovozov. From the crossroads continue slightly right, so that the path continues crosswise to the right, where the path leads us a little further past an intermittent spring. Shortly after the spring, the path splits again and we continue straight ahead (left Stražni vrh 5 minutes) on a gradually descending path. The cross descent soon ends, and along the way we see signs for the Open Door Farm pr Jurčk. Continue in the route indicated and at the next crossroads follow the signs for the hunting lodge. A few minutes of moderate ascent follows and the forest path leads us without major problems to the Hunting Hut at Klobuk.
