Access to the starting point:
a) Take the Bled, then continue driving towards Pokljuka. Above Zatrnik, when the road is already laid, a few 100 m before the timber depot GG Bled, you will see a forest road branch off to the left. At this junction, the route described above starts, and you can park at a suitable place nearby.
b) Take the Bohinjska Bistrica, then continue towards Bled, but only as far as the road to Pokljuka. At Jereka turn right towards Pokljuka and follow the signs for Pokljuka at the following junctions. When you reach Mrzlje studenec, turn right towards Bled, passing the GG Bled landfill. A little further on from the landfill, you will reach a crossroads where a forest road branches off to the right. At this junction, the route described above starts, and you can park at a suitable place nearby.
Path description:
From the main road, follow the forest road, which initially leads through a small valley, then quickly splits. Take the road to the left (straight ahead you can reach Grajska or Rečiška planina), which gradually starts to climb. Higher up, as the road levels out, at a small junction, take the road slightly to the left, which then leads you parallel to the main road, except that you walk about 100 metres above it. There are a few ups and downs, and occasionally we get a nice view of the Karavanke Mountains. After crossing the Ribje valley, walk for a few more minutes and then reach the marked Bled - Pokljuka trail, which you follow to the left. Follow the marked trail up the track of the former Zatrnik ski slope, and when the marked trail turns right downhill, we continue to the abandoned buildings at the upper station of the former Berjanca ski lift. From the facilities, it is a 10-step climb along a trackless path to the nearby summit, from which we have a beautiful view that reaches all the way to Triglav.
