Samotorica - Kožljek

Access to the starting point:
From Vrhnika, Dobrova or Polhov Gradec, drive to Horjul, and then in the centre of the town, continue towards the village of Koreno. Continue past the senior citizens' home, then continue along a narrower and relatively steep road, which leads you higher up to a crossroads, where you continue straight on in the direction of Samotorica (sharp right to Koreno). The road then crosses steep slopes, then descends gently, leading to a small crossroads of several roads. Park in a suitable place on the roadside near this junction.

Path description:
The mountain signs at the edge of the crossroads direct us to the left macadam road, which climbs moderately at first, then leads us without any change in altitude to the chapel on the meadow. Leave the road here and continue along the path which climbs crossways over the grassy slope. After 2 minutes of easy walking across the meadow, the path leads us to the edge of the forest, where we continue to the right along a rather overgrown path. Higher up, the forest and scrub thin out and the path opens up to a view of the Kamniško Savinjske Alps. Continue along the gently sloping path which, after a few further steps, leads us to the top of Kožljeka.
