Šport hotel - Mesnovec

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Lesce and follow the road in the direction of Bled, where you will be directed to the right at the semaphorised crossroads marked for Pokljuka. Follow this road, which takes you through a few villages in the lower part and then starts to climb steeply, to the Sport Hotel on Pokljuka. Park in a suitable space on the roadside or near the hotel. Only guests are allowed to park in front of the hotel.

Path description:
From the Sport Hotel, you can walk along the edge of the ski slope or through the forest to the nearby forest road, about 10 minutes above the hotel. When you reach the road, follow it to the left and climb gently. The road slowly turns to the right and leads to a small crossroads, where you continue along the right-hand road. Continue past the green ramp and continue along the road, which sometimes even descends slightly. After a few minutes, the road starts to climb moderately again and leads us slightly higher to the next crossroads. Again, we continue along the right-hand road, but it narrows slightly and leads us to a small saddle between the two peaks of Mesnovec. For a view, you can climb to the nearby left-hand peak (1508 m) in 2 minutes, otherwise continue to the right and climb the easier trackless path to the higher main peak in 5 minutes.
