Access to the starting point:
a) From the main bus and train station in Ljubljana, take Resljeva Street, which leads to the Tunnel under the Castle, where you turn left onto Streliška Street, where you park in a pay parking lot.
b) The starting point can also be reached from the route of Roška cesta.
Path description:
From where you parked, first walk to the junction of Streliška Street with the Potters' Lane (the junction is near the Tunnel under the Castle). Continue up the Potters' Lane to the first junction. From the crossroads, turn right and continue up Na Stolbi Street, following it almost to its end. Just before the end of the road, turn left onto a wide forest path, which takes a few minutes of relatively steep climbing to reach the Ljubljana Castle parking lot.
From the parking lot, walk up to the castle mansion and climb the many steps to the lookout tower (there is a charge to climb the lookout tower).
