Waldrast - Seespitz (Koralpe) (via Großer Speikkogel)

Access to the starting point:
From Dravograd, drive through the Vič border crossing to St. Andre. Follow the road to Wolfsberg, where signs for Koralpe point you to the right. Continue through St. Stefan, Maildorf and Rieding to the large parking lot at the Koralpe ski centre.

Path description:
At the end of the parking lot, the signs for Koralpenhaus direct you to a footpath that ascends the left-hand edge of the ski slope (crossing is forbidden when the ski slope is in operation). After a few minutes' ascent, the moderately steep path leads to an unmarked crossroads, where you continue along the left-hand slope. The path, which then follows the ski slope for some time, leads us higher up to the asphalted road. Here, the ascent continues to the right along the ascending road, which, with increasingly beautiful views, quickly leads to the mountain lodge.
From Koralpenhaus we continue along the road which, after two sharp bends, soon leads us to two radar stations at the top. The radar track passes by on the right and then the road ends. There are only a few steps of ascent to the cross on the left.
From the top, continue along the path, which begins to descend gently and after a few minutes leads us to a nondescript saddle, where there is a fork in the path. Continue downhill to the left and after a few minutes of cross-country descent, we see a small rise on our right where we see a cross. At the most suitable point, leave the marked path and climb up to the top of Seespitze in two minutes on an easier trackless path.
