Žusem Castle - Žusem

Access to the starting point:
From Celje, we drive towards Teharje and Rogaška Slatina. Once you pass through Teharje, head in a circular direction towards Štore and Zagreb. Pass through Štore to Šentjur. At Šentjur, at the last semaphore-controlled junction, head towards Mountain pasture near Sevnica. Go through the railway line and at the end, after the Šentjur sign, where the end of the town is, turn for Gorica near Slivnica. Go uphill for a few kilometres to this place. There we head towards Sodni vas. You will pass the Slivnica Lake, which you can see on the left side of the road. After a few kilometres, you will see signs for Žusem and a quarry on the right. Turn right, then uphill past the quarry. After a few metres you can see the ruins of Žusem Castle. Park there.

Path description:
From Žusem Castle, turn right uphill on the asphalt road. After a few 100 metres, you will see mountain signs pointing towards the top of Žusm and the Tower of Love. From the road, turn right onto the forest path, which leads immediately left uphill. The path is quite steep and winding. It is well marked. It leads to the fence of the quarry. There are warning signs that it is forbidden to cross the fence. Continue on the marked path, which leads to a dirt road. Cross this road and rejoin the mountain forest path. On a tree you will see a notice about quarrying. There are enough markings on the trail to take you to the top.
Up there are the hut and the Tower of Love. There is a registration book under the tower, and the stamp is supposedly in the cottage.
