Galyatető

Description of peak:
Galyatető is the highest peak in the western part of the Matra Mountains. It is known as the second highest peak in Hungary, but in reality it is only the third highest, Pezső-kő being slightly higher. Galyatető (Galya - ship , tető - crep) is known as a ski resort and as a wellness centre and is quite a visited peak. Several paths lead to the summit from the surrounding area. A huge lookout tower is under construction on the summit and will be completed in 2015.
