Source of Krka

Description of mountain:
The source of the Krka River is located north-west of Krka in the municipality of Ivančna Gorica. The water flows to the surface at the artificial exit to the Krško cave, and at high water the entrance is floded, at which point the Krka Cave is inaccessible. After 94 km, Krka flows into the Sava River near Brežice.
The Krka Cave, which is located close to the source of the Krka River, is 200 m long and up to 30 m wide. Admission to the cave is EUR 3 for adults and EUR 2 for children (2016), and the opening hours are published at the entrance and on the website of the Krka Tourist Information Centre.
