Kalanov hrib (Kalanček)

Description of peak:
Kalanov hrib or Kalanček, as the locals like to call it, is a peak situated above Gladež, a settlement on Izlake in the municipality of Zagorje ob Savi. It is one of the most popular and most visited hills in the NW part of the municipality. The top of the hill offers a view to the north towards Čemšeniška mountain pasture, Menina mountain pasture and Golte. To the south there is a magnificent view towards Pleš, Marela, Vrch, Kum, as well as Javor, Mrzlica and Vrch to the north-east. The hill is easily accessible, there are several paths leading up to it, and at the top there is a clearing with the above-mentioned views, as well as a signing-in book and a bench and table for resting.
