Planina Obranica

Description of mountain hut:
Planina Obranica is a quiet, picturesque location on the southeastern part of the Mežakla plateau, known for its memorial to fallen fighters (battles were fought here during the NOB), and the pleasant shepherd's hut that stands on its western edge. The viewpoint to the SE of the monument offers beautiful views towards Bled, the Gorje Mountains, Pokljuka and Jelovica, while the view to the SW stops at the Triglav group. To the east, the Gorenjska Ravenna and the Ljubljanska basin open wide.
