Rifnik

Description of peak:
Rifnik is a 568m high peak located south of Šentjur near Celje. The summit, which is famous for its archaeological site, offers a beautiful view towards Šentjur and the surrounding hills.
A detailed description of the archaeological site can be found at the top of Rifnik, where the site has been beautifully restored and illustrated.
On the north side of Rifnik (10 minutes below the summit) are the ruins of Reicheneck Castle, which was first mentioned in 1281.
