Vrše

Description of peak:
The 850 m high hill Vrše, across which the TNP boundary runs, rises south-west above the village Blejska Dobrava, or east of the settlement Kočna near Jesenice. Although there are no marked trails leading up to it, the hill is one of the destinations of hikers in the surrounding villages. From one of the paths to the top of the hill, there is an interesting view of the Karavanke hillside with Koroška Bela, and a few 10 m below the top, where there is a pleasant hunting lodge on the north-eastern slope, there is a beautiful view of the Ljubljana basin, part of the village of Blejska Dobrava, and the Breznik villages of the (so-called) Dežele (Breznik) Lands. On the summit itself, which is not equipped with a registration book, we have a south-westerly view of the eastern slope of Mežakla, part of the Julijci Mountains with Triglav and Rjavina, and the neighbouring Boršt hill.
