Access to the starting point:
From Bovec, drive towards the Predel border crossing. A kilometre before the border crossing, turn onto the road leading to the saddle below Mangart. After two kilometres, you will reach the turn-off for mountain pasture, where you can park.
Path description:
From mountain pasture continue towards the Stožje avalanche, which is crossed. When you reach the spruce forest, you will see a narrow path used by the local sheep. After about half an hour's walk through the forest, a view of the rocky world opens up. Follow the stream for a while and then turn left onto a scree slope. At the top of the scree, turn left into a gully, where a little more caution is needed when climbing as there is no fixed safety gear. From the top of the gully we are only a ridge traverse away and the goal is reached with a little more downhill.
