Slovenske Konjice - Konjice Castle (easier path)

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Maribor motorway, take the Slovenske Konjice exit and follow the road to the point. In the centre of Slovenske Konjice, leave the main road (continue left) and head towards the church, or sports hall, near which you can park in a large marked parking lot.

Path description:
From the church parking lot, continue west to the school or sports hall. Here you will see the first mountain markings for the world above and continue towards Konjice Castle or Konjiška gora/Stolpnik along the pavement on the right side of the road. The architecturally rich building of the Slovenske Konjice Gymnasium (on the right side of the path) soon reaches a crossroads by the cemetery. Continue left along the cemetery and soon reach a crossroads of mountain paths. Continue left on the easier path, on the right is the more difficult path, which has been described on this portal for a long time. After a few hundred metres of asphalt, you will finally continue straight ahead on a forest path, partly on a road. To the left of the path is a small former quarry, also a point on the Dragonlance Theme Trail. Continue along a slightly narrower path and slightly left into a steeper part. Soon a more difficult version of the trail joins from the right, and then, of course, there is a common path. A few dozen metres more in the woods (deciduous trees, mainly beech) and the transition to the meadow cart track. Reach the forest road and continue right slightly downhill, straight ahead is Skala and the Žička Carthusian Church. The destination is already visible, again crossroads by a small wooden building, continue up by a small ramp/barrier for vehicles, to the left is the higher path for Stolpnik. Follow the road above the ramp and soon reach the trailhead.
