Access to the starting point:
Drive to Border crossing Ljubelj, turn left before the tunnel towards Zelenica, then park in the parking lot behind the Kompas shop.
Path description:
From the parking lot, we continue along the service road which climbs to the bottom station of the former single-seater Zelenica I, and we continue along the steep service road on the ski slope. After a short climb, you will see a clearly visible track on the right and a little further along, a "fair play" sign, which means that the track is shared by both mountaineers and cyclists. After a short climb, the path enters the forest, turns left and then continues along the slopes of Ljubeljščice. Then cross a larger torrent, from where a beautiful view opens up towards Begunjščica, and then through the forest there are a large number of smaller ravines, where the crossings are not difficult. At a higher altitude, we leave the forest and a few 10 steps further on, we reach a service road.
Follow the road up past Jančman's Corner (a bench and table with a nice view), then after a few 10 metres continue sharp right, onto a path that first climbs across to the right, then turns left and crosses the slopes to the left. Continue cross-climbing over the service road, then cross a slightly steeper ravine and a small landslide, which opens up to a fine view of the surrounding mountains. After the viewpoint, the trail returns to the forest and climbs for a few more minutes across the slopes of Spodnji Plot, crossing an old ski slope at a higher altitude. After the "ski slope", the trail leads through more lane of a forest, and then descends in a minute or two to the Mountain Home on Zelenica.
