Zamarkova - Lake Komarnik (path around the lake)

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Pomurje motorway at exit Lenart v Slovenskih goricah and then take the road to Pernice. Soon after leaving the motorway, you will reach the settlement Zamarkova, where at the beginning of the settlement turn right into the parking lot in front of the St. Agata Home for the Aged.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue along the pavement towards Pernica, passing St Agatha's House, and then cross the main road carefully at the pedestrian crossing.
There is an information board on the other side of the road, but you can continue to the left or right as the path continues around the lake.
The route described below is clockwise, so continue to the left.
Through the lane of bushes you descend close to the lake, where you continue on the path that runs along the lush vegetation that grows along the shore of the lake. A little further on, the path goes into the forest and leads to the information board of the "Amphibians" nature trail. Just a little further on, cross a small bridge and you will reach a small observation point, which offers a beautiful view of the lake and, especially in the morning, you can observe many birds. Continue along the forest path, which continues along the lake, and then climb a little, and the path leads us at the top of the climb to a small crossroads, where we continue slightly to the right, further around the lake (a short path branches off to the sharp left to the educational board "Gomile").
There is a short descent to reach the southernmost part of the lake, from where the path continues along the embankment. From the embankment you have a beautiful view of Lake Komarnik, the nearby Hrastovec Castle and Pohorje in the background. Walk along the embankment to the north-western part of the lake, where you go right over a bridge over the Partinjski brook, and a few steps further over a small bridge. After the small bridge, it is only a short walk to the information board where the circular route starts, and from here it is only a 3-minute walk to the parking lot where we started.
