Hunting cottage (Davča) - Dom na Poreznu

Access to the starting point:
From Škofja Loka, drive towards Železniki and continue along the road towards Podbrdo and Soriška mountain pasture. Shortly before the village of Zali log, the road turns left towards the ski resort Cerkno and the village of Davča. Take this road, which crosses a bridge and continues up along the river Davča. Follow the ascending road in the direction of the ski resort Cerkno, Porezno and Davka Falls at several small crossroads. Higher up, you come to a slightly larger crossroads where you continue to the right in the direction of Porezno and Davški falls (sharp left on the priority road, ski resort Cerkno). The road continues to climb along the river Davča, and higher up, you come to a crossroads where you continue to the sharp right in the direction of Porezno (straight ahead, Davški falls). The road climbs steeply, makes a sharp left turn and leads you past houses to a chapel, where you continue to the right. The road continues to lay, loses its asphalt coating and gets worse and worse. We park in one of the small car parks along the aforementioned deteriorating road.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the road along which you parked. The road initially leads us along the edge of the scenic grassy hayfields, then passes to the left side of the ridge, where it gradually begins to descend. The road descends quickly into the forest and after a few minutes leads to a sharp left turn, in the middle of which a wide cart track branches off to the right. Continue along cart track (marked), which begins to climb gently and quickly leads to a large meadow.
Just a few steps before the start of the meadow, you will see the marked cart track on the left-hand side, which crosses a small spring and turns into a dense forest. Continue along the above-mentioned cart track, which is followed at the crossroads towards Porezno (markings on a tree). Higher up, the cart track markings direct us right onto a steep footpath which gradually becomes steeper higher up and then turns increasingly to the left. The path then crosses a larger ravine, and then leads in a moderate ascent out of the forest to the pastures below Konjski brdo (Medrce mountain). The path then ascends to an abandoned byte, after which it turns to the right and for a short time lays completely flat. Next, we come to a water trough, and the path splits into two parts just a few steps further on.
Continue straight ahead along the marked path (shepherd's hut 3 minutes on the left), which begins to climb again, this time over increasingly scenic grassy slopes. After a short climb, you will come out on a minor forest road, which you follow to the right (from where you came out on the road, you can also continue the climb along the ridge path, which climbs parallel to the road, in which case you would come directly to the top and bypass the lodge at Porezno). The road then crosses a short strip of forest and then climbs crossways to the north-west ridge of Porezno, where the marked path from Petrov Brdo joins us from the right. Continue to the left and after a few steps of further walking you will arrive at the mountain lodge on Porezno.
