Access to the starting point:
From AC Ljubljana Koper, exit at the Razdrto exit and go right back towards Postojna on the old road, at the first crossroads turn left for Veliko Ubeljsko and Strane. Drive to the village of Strane and at the end of the village at the steel cable turn left along the asphalted path. Leave the car at the fork in the road and turn left at cart track.
Path description:
Follow cart track upwards, keeping to the left until you reach a meadow, where you look for the men and turn right into the forest. Follow a clearly visible track and climb slowly over a small scree field. There is a steep climb ahead. When you reach the viewpoint, follow the track to the left, feeling a bit wild, but the track is traceable. The path climbs between the rocks along the edge of the lookout ridge. After an hour and twenty minutes, you reach the top of Maj.
We have a view of Plešo (Nanos), Snežnik, the Postojna basin and also a view of the "Nanos window".

Če je kdo tu hodil me zanima kje je votla stena. Danes sva šla po stezi iz Suhega vrha . Po celotnem grebenu v Strane. Tu sem prvikrat hodila. Ob potki, ki je sicer slabo vidna je bilo zanimivo okno. Me zanima ali je to okno naravno?

Moti me , ker sva srečala pohodnico, ko je šla iz Stran do klopce na tem grebenu Maj po imenu. In je rekla, da je to okno, sem ga poslikala umetno narejeno. Ampak meni je zgledalo naravno. Sicer sva imela vrisano pot s Suhega vrha na telefonu, ker ni označb in je sploh težko sledljiva. Tudi na Nanos sva šla iz V. Ubeljskega po novi poti. Vseskoz strmi , mimo Pekove skale.

Votla stena ,če gledam karto, je celotno tisto skalovje ( glej opis poti slika št. 2)jaz mislim, da je okno naravno, vsaj ko sem bila tam nisem imela vtisa, da bi ga kdo naredil...

Na zemljevidih je Maj kota 1020 m, razgledna rama na grebenu. Tej koti domačini pravijo Vrh gore, Maj pa temu vrhu na 1142 m.
