Bele Vode (Sveti Andrej) - Sveti Križ above Bele Vode (lower path)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Maribor take the exit Šentrupert and then continue in the direction of Mozirje and Logarska dolina. At the beginning of Mozirje, turn right out of the roundabout in the direction of Bele Vode, then follow the signs for Šoštanj, Lepa Njiva and Bele Vode. The road then soon leads to Lepa Njiva, where you continue straight on in the direction of Bele Vode. A little further on, you will come to a crossroads where the road to Sveta Florjan and Šoštanj branches off to the right. Here, continue straight on the road towards Bele Vode, and follow it all the way to St Andrew's Church, where you park in the asphalt parking lot.
b) From Ljubno ob Savinji or Gornji Grad, drive to Mozirje, and from there continue in the direction Bele Vode from the roundabout near the Hofer shop. A little after Ljubija you will reach a crossroads, where you continue slightly to the right in the direction of the signs for Šoštanj, Lepa Njiva and Bele Vode. The road then soon leads to Lepa Njiva, where you continue straight on in the direction of Bele Vode. A little further on, you will come to a crossroads where the road to Sveta Florjan and Šoštanj branches off to the right. Here, continue straight on the road towards Bele Vode, and follow it all the way to St Andrew's Church, where you park in the asphalt parking lot.
c) Drive to Šoštanj, where from the roundabout by the CHP, continue in the direction Bele Vode. After the bridge over the river Pápa and after the railway line at the crossroads, continue straight on in the direction Bele Vode and follow the direction mentioned above at the following crossroads. You will then arrive at St Andrew's Church in Bele Vode, where you will park.

Path description:
From the Church of St Andrew, follow the road back a few 100 metres, then at the crossroads, just past the left serpentine, continue right in the direction of the hamlet of Visočki Vrh. From the crossroads, descend for a while and then reach the marked Šaleška mountain trail, which you follow to the right in the direction of Smrekovec. The views of Sv. Križ and part of the Šaleška valley end here, as the path continues through the forest, initially quite steeply upwards. The path soon becomes slightly sloping and leads to cart track, which runs steeply above a nearby stream. Higher up, the cart track, followed above the stream bed, leads us out of the woods, onto a meadow, after which we reach a marked crossroads at the Homec Pass (817 m).
From the crossroads, where you reach the road, continue along the road on the left in the direction of Sv. Križan (straight ahead Smrekovec, on the right you can pass Savinek to return to the starting point). After a few steps, the path from the valley Kramarica or Ljubija (the starting point in the description is the spring Ljubija) joins us from the right, or the Šaleška mountain trail continues in the same direction (the Šaleška mountain trail). Smrekovec, Savinek, Savinek, Kramarica, Ljubija, Ljubija, Ljubija, Ljubija. Continue along the unmarked road leading to Sv. Križ. The way forward leads along a steep asphalt road or along a marked shortcut leading along a steep forest track. The track crosses the asphalt road several times and after about 30 minutes from the Homec Pass we reach the top of St Križan, where there are a number of church buildings and a conversion tower.
