Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice take the exit Vodice, then continue to the first semaphore crossing in Vodice, where you turn left towards Cerkelj na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When you reach the main roundabout at Spodnji Brnik, continue driving in the direction of Cerkeliai and the ski resort Krvavec. At the end of Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoke, and turn slightly right onto the road towards the ski resort Krvavec. Park in the large parking lot at the lower station of the round-cabin cable car to Krvavec, buy a ticket and take the cable car to the upper station, which is located next to the Mountain House at Gospinec.
b) From the motorway Jesenice - Ljubljana, take the exit Kranj - East, then continue to Brnik, Komenda and Mengeš. When you reach the main roundabout at Spodnji Brnik, continue driving towards Cerkeliai and the ski resort Krvavec. At the end of Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoke, and turn slightly right onto the road towards the ski resort Krvavec. Park in the large parking lot at the lower station of the round-cabin cable car to Krvavec, buy a ticket and take the cable car to the upper station, which is located next to the Mountain House at Gospinec.
c) From the motorway Ljubljana - Jesenice, take the exit Vodice, then continue driving to the first semaphorised crossroads in Vodice, where you turn left in the direction of Cerkelj na Gorenjskem and Brnik. When you reach the main roundabout at Spodnji Brnik, continue driving in the direction of Cerkeliai and the ski resort Krvavec. At the end of Cerklje na Gorenjskem, leave the main road, which continues towards Velesovo and Visoke, and turn slightly right onto the road towards the ski resort Krvavec. Continue to the village of Grad, where the signs for Ambrož pod Krvavcem direct you to the right on a steep asphalt road (straight ahead to the lower station of the round-cabin cable car to Krvavec and Štefanja Gora). When the steepness of the steep road eases slightly, you will come to a junction, where you will continue to the left in the direction of Ambrož pod Krvavcem (straight ahead to the settlements of Ravne, Apno and Šenturška Gora). A little further on, the road descends a little and then climbs over slopes that are sometimes quite scenic. Higher up, you reach Ambrož pod Krvavcem, where you pass the church of St Ambrose and the tourist farm Pr Ambružarju on the left. From the tourist farm the road passes into the forest and climbs through it to mountain pasture Jezerec, where there is a large parking lot. The road here is laid and turns left, and about 500 m further on it leads to a crossroads, where you continue slightly left (to the right Kriška mountain pasture). You then drive along a dirt road for some time or to the upper station of the round-cabin cable car. The road from mountain pasture Jezerec to Dom na Gospincu is now closed to public traffic, which will extend the journey by about 30 minutes.

Path description:
At the top station of the circular cable car to Krvavec you will see a number of mountain signs. We head in the direction of the Krvavec home and Marija Snežna on a poorly visible path that climbs up the grassy slope almost straight up. The faintly visible path leads us higher up over a pasture fence, beyond which it becomes slightly more traceable. A relatively steep path then leads to the Krvavec home, which is visible from the upper cable car station (you can also get here by a less good dirt road).
From home, continue in the direction of Zvoh along the road which leads us past the chapel and transmitters on Krvavec to the Razor saddle (the saddle between the top of Krvavec and Velika Zvoh), where there is a crossroads. Continue straight along the ridge (right Krvavec peak for 5 minutes) to the next crossroads, where the signs for Dolgo njiva direct you left (straight Velika Zvoh). The path to Dolgo njiva then crosses the ski slope and leads to a slope partly covered with dwarf pines. After a while, the crossing path leaves the Krvavec ski resort area via a wire fence. The trail then begins to descend, first through dwarf pines and then crosses some small and partly overgrown scree fields. The path then stops descending and the path from Kokra (via Lojtra) joins us on the left. After a few steps of walking, the path leads to the old shepherd's hut at mountain pasture Dolga njiva.
From this hut, continue along the left-hand side of mountain pasture along a less visible path which, after 5 minutes' further walking, leads to another, restored hut. Again, keep slightly left and the path, which is still poorly visible, soon leads into the dwarf pines zone, where it becomes more distinct. This is followed by crossing a short steep rubbly slope, and then the gently sloping path leads us in a few minutes of pleasant walking through meadows covered with dwarf pines to a crossroads at Škrbini.
Here we continue to the left in the direction of Kalški greben and Cojzova huts along the path which, after a few further steps, leads us to the next crossroads. Continue slightly to the left (Kalška gora and Cojzova koča to the right) along the path, which begins to climb gently up the slopes, which are becoming more and more scenic. The pleasant path, which can be very hot in the middle of the day, leads us first near a small ridge, and then gradually turns slightly more to the left and leads us from dwarf pines to beautiful meadows, where we will find various types of flowers. The wide slope we are walking on then narrows and the meadows are gradually replaced by rocks. Higher up, the path leads to the scenic main ridge, which is then followed to the summit, which is often full of sheep droppings. Dom na Gospincu - Dolga njiva 1:35, Dolga njiva - Kalški greben 1:45.

Brane V.-Vnašam danes zjutraj za včerajšni pohod.Jaz sem štartal že pri Kriški planini,kjer je pod bivšim hotelom veliko parkirišče.Res pa je,da je od čistilne naprave slaba cesta.Nato nad planšarijami proti domu na Krvavcu in pod Zvohom na planono Dolge njive.Na tej planini je edina prosta tekoča voda.Na planini se pase čreda konj-idilika.Na Kalški greben je nato zelo lahek pohod.Za nazaj priporočam povratek prek Korna,brebena Ježa in Zvoha.

Včeraj -23.07.2008 sem spet ponovil to turo, katero sem naredil lani, samo malo pozneje. Bilo je zelo mrzlo, pod deset stopinj in pihal je zoprn veter.Nazaj grede me je ujel celo oblak ledenih perl-zanimiv vremenski pojav, ki je kot oblak nato odplaval proti kamniškemu sedlu. Vračal sem se prek Vrha Korena in grebena Ježa,.Naj dodam samo to,da bi bilo treba na novo urediti omarice z vpisno knjigo tako na vrhu Kalškega brebena kot na Vrhu Korena.Baje za to skrbi Kamniško planinsko društvo.

Danes sem le šel na Kalški greben od Gospince in čez Dolge njive. Začel sem že ob 7.30 zjutraj kar se je pokazalo kot pametno zaradi vročine. Nič posebnega ob poti, ampaka na Dolgih njivah pa res idila z krasnimi štirimi konji, ki se selijo gor in dol po planini in se obiskovalcev ne bojijo. No,ja, zdelo se mi je, da sem bil danes, takole sredi tedna edini pohodnik od Krvavca sem čez in vse do vrha in nazaj sem srečal le eno starejšo, izkušeno planinko, ki mi je lepo pojasnila par zadev, saj sem bil le prvič na tej poti. Razgledi so res "nori" na tej poti po vsej širši in dalnji okolici in Grintovci so kot na dlani.Prijeten vetrič je pihal ves čas in tudi temperatura je bila znosna. Samo gosto ruševje je pa res odveč,saj sem bil kar precej popraskan. Fotoaparat je delal ves čas po poti gor in nazaj in res se mi ni mudilo nazaj. Malce so me zdelale noge ob povratku in sem se poslovil od ideje iti na Koren in nazaj čez Ježa in sem tako šel po isti poti do Krvavca. Res da me je tudi vročina zdelala in sem zaradi postankov naredil kako uro več, a se je vseeno izplačalo vse skupaj, zaključil pa sem z okusno joto in klobaso na Gospinci. Ja, in kot sem šel z prvo gondolo gor ,sem šel z zadnjo gondolo dol. Kljub vsemu da ne planinarim preveč,sem pa danes z vrhom Kalškega grebena le dosel največjo višino sedaj  Bližnji cilj pa je Grintovec.

yogibear - nekaj dni prezgodaj si šel ... Rušje do pl. Dolga njiva je bilo požagano 10. 9. Drži, da prav neverjetno hitro raste!

Lepa tura z čudovitim razgledom.K sreči je bilo danes delno oblačno, tako da ni bilo vročine, kar je naredilo turo še prijetnejšo. Planina Dolge njive deluje tako kot da bi se tam čas ustavil. Res nekaj posebnega.

včeraj iz planine Jezerca na planino Dolge njive, pod vrhom Korena, čez planino Koren na Kriško planino in nazaj na Jezerca. Zelo lepa tura, konji z žrebičkom in koze na paši, rožic obilo, vreme kot po naročilu in mene je sama sreča

Nisem še probal, lahko govorim samo iz druge roke. Kolikor sem slišal: začetek je zoprn, ker je treba nekaj časa hodit po smučišču. Na poti od smučišča do Dolge njive nato čaka prečenje strmih in plazovitih pobočij, ki terja previdnost. Od Dolge njive dalje naj ne bi bilo problematično.

Imaš dve možnosti.Ena je preko Krvavca,tako kot je opisano zgoraj,malo moraš paziti ,ker je plazovito,to pot uporabljajo turni smučarji,sam hodim iz doline Kokre preko lojtre,ki pa je pozimi kar težko prehodna zaradi zametov ali pa je poledenela.Od dolge njive naprej ni problemov ,pogoj je zadosti snega,drugače padaš v ruševje,kajti zimska pot gre drugje kot letna.

bil včeraj iz parkirišča mimo doma in naprej čez dolge njive, pot dobro opisana razen dela poti slika 49, tam je na dveh mestih v dolžini cca 50-100m pot zelo izpostavljena, sicer za par metrov ampak je, napotek kdor ne želi narediti teh par korakov gre lahko okoli med rušjem in pride na isto pot, drugače lepa ampak ker vmes ni nagrade (koče- osvežitev) je treba s seboj imeti kar dosti vode da prideš tja in nazaj,

Ja, za nekoga so pač deli poti izpostavljeni. Prehodila sem jo že večkrat, sicer konćni cilj je bil Kalšni greben.
To pot uporabim navadno za vrnitev proti Kriški planini. Je pa res melišče tečno.
