Stary Smokovec - Slavkovsky štit

Access to the starting point:
Stary Smokovec can be reached by car, where you can park in one of the car parks in the town, or you can take the Tatra Railway to the starting point, which will also take you to the centre of the town.

Path description:
From the centre of Stary Smokovec, go up the street to the left, passing the Grand Hotel. After a few minutes, you will reach the trailhead signs, which are marked in blue.
The blue trail we follow initially leads us along the stone cart track, which is surrounded by lush undergrowth, and this trail continues almost to the junction with the Tatra Highway (red marked trail). It takes about 1 hour to get here.
After the crossroads, the trail turns into a forest and after half an hour of further walking you reach the first points of interest along the trail, namely Slavkovská Vyhliadka (1531 m).
From Slavkovská Vyhliadka we have a beautiful view of the Great Valley, the peaks on the other side of the valley and Lomnicky Štit behind them.
From here on, the trail continues along granite slabs and partly through scrub (rushes). The trail continues past the summit of Nos (2273 m), and then follows a fairly steep trail, partly along granite slabs, partly along grasses, and partly along shorter scree, all the way up to the 2452-metre-high summit, on which stands a metal cross.
