Cima Ombrettola

Description of peak:
Cima Ombrettola is a 2931 m high peak in the ridge that encloses the valley of the same name to the south-west and the Fuciade Pass to the north, along the Passo san Pellegrino. The easily accessible summit between the three peaks Sasso Vernale and Sasso di Valfredda is a beautiful viewpoint. At the top there is a larger cairn and an improvised barbed wire cross. The easiest access to the summit is from the Passo Ombretta pass, but the more interesting approach is along the ridge from the pass between Ombrettola and Cima del Bachet.
