Description of peak:
Creta Grauzaria (in Friul: La Crete) is a 2065 meter high mountain in Carnic Alps in Italy.
The mountain was climbed for the first time on 18th June, 1893 by Arturo Ferrucci and Emilio Pico, with help of the guides Giovanni Filaferro and Giacomo Filaterro.
From Portonat saddle at 1860 meters of altitude leads the easiest ascent to the top of Creta Grauzaria. Nevertheless, it is still not easy and it is graded with a level UIAA II.
A beautiful view can be enjoyed from the narrow top, especially to the Monte Sernio to the west, Zuc dal Bor to the east with Julian Alps in the background, and to Monte Amariana and Padova lowlands to the south.
A small summit cross stands on the top, a summitbook is secured nearby, some meters below the summit is a small statue of Virgin Mary. A summit stamp in available in the hut Rifugio Grauzaria.
This mountain summit is one of the 60 in a trail Vrhovi prijateljstva / Gipfel der Freundschaft / Cime dell'Amicizia.
