Buchkogel (Rudolfswarte)

Description of peak:
Buchkogel, also called Graz Buchkogel, is located in the west of Graz and is one of the most popular excursion destinations on the outskirts of the city, along with Plabutsch.
It is covered by a mixed forest. Beech trees predominate, after which the hill takes its name.
Together with the Plabutsch, it provides a habitat for chamois.
Since 1879, the 11 m high Prince Rudolf Lookout Tower (Kronprinz-Rudolf-Warte) has stod at the top, offering a view of the city of Graz.
