Sveta Marjeta (Ritoznoj)

Description of church:
Description of the mountain: the Church of St Margaret, first mentioned in 1542, adorns a world of vineyards in Ritoznoy.
The building is simple on the outside, with an octagonal bell tower. Inside, however, it boasts fine Baroque architecture and paintings.
The programme of paintings is linked to farm work and life, especially the vineyards and the patron saint of the church.
From the valley there is a magnificent view of the summit where this mighty church reigns supreme. On the viewing platform right next to the church, you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Slovenska Bistrica and its surroundings, as well as of the Ložnice and Dravinja valleys. The view of the Haloz hills and Boč is also very beautiful. The Konjice hills are also visible.
