Description of peak:
At 2396m, Zirbitzkogel is the highest peak in the Seetaler Alps. The summit, on which stands a cross and a viewing platform, offers a beautiful view of the other peaks in the Alps. With good visibility, the Kamnik and Savinja Alps, Karawanks and Julian Alps with Triglav can be seen from the summit. Even better is the view of the mountains above the Drava and Mura valleys, where the highest mountain in Austria (Grossglockner) can be seen in good visibility. The summit is vast and on fine weekends it is visited by many people from all sides.
