Razdrto - Suhi vrh (Nanos) (gentle path)

Access to the starting point:
a) From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Razdrto (exit only for vehicles with vignettes), then when you reach the old road Postojna - Koper continue left in the direction of Razdrteg. The road then takes you to the other side of the motorway, and just a little further on you reach a junction where a road branches off slightly to the right, leading towards the centre of Razdrteg. In the middle of the village we see signs for Veliko Ubeljsko and Strane, which point us to the right. Before the road crosses the motorway, park in a large parking lot.
b) From the Vipava valley take the expressway towards Ljubljana. Just after joining the Koper - Ljubljana motorway, we leave it at the Razdrto exit (exit only for vehicles with vignettes). When we reach the old Postojna - Koper road, we continue left in the direction of Razdrteg. The road then takes us to the other side of the motorway, and just a little further on we reach a crossroads where a road branches off slightly to the right, leading towards the centre of Razdrteg. In the middle of the village we see signs for Veliko Ubeljsko and Strane, which point us to the right. Before the road crosses the motorway, park in a large parking lot.

Path description:
From the large parking lot, where you can enjoy a beautiful view of the view towards Plesa, continue along the asphalt road, which crosses the motorway via an overpass. On the other side of the motorway you reach a small crossroads with mountain direction signs. From the crossroads, continue left, and we walk along the road for only a short time, because then the signs for Vojko's cottage direct us right onto a gently sloping footpath that begins to climb up a grassy hayfield. After a few minutes of moderate ascent on the grassy slope, we arrive in the forest, where the marked path soon splits into two parts.
Continue left towards the sloping path (right: steep path), which leads us a little further across the meadow. Beyond the meadow, the path returns to the forest and begins to climb gently. The path continues to climb north-westwards, initially through the forest, but higher up, across the views, sometimes up steeper slopes. With views of the upper part of the Vipava valley and the Vipava Brda, after about an hour and a half's walk from the starting point we reach the edge of the Nano plateau, where there is a marked crossroads.
To the left, the path leads towards the Church of St Hieronymus (3 minutes) and further towards the Vojkovo hunting lodge and Podnanos, while we continue to the right in the direction of Vojkova koča na Nanosu, following the path which leads us only a few steps further to a less visible crossroads, where the unmarked path to Grmada branches off to the left. Continue slightly to the right on the marked path, which climbs for some time parallel to the road. The way forward is a little further to the right and passes to the scenic north-western edge of Nanos. Here, the so-called Janez's path almost imperceptibly joins us from the right, and we continue straight along the wide path that leads us towards the transmitters on Nanos. Just before the transmitters, the path turns to the left, descends into the lane of a forest and then, passing the monument of Janko Premrl Vojko, leads us to Vojko's hut on Nanos.
From the hut, continue along the marked path towards Suhega vrha. The path first crosses the meadow behind the hut and then climbs for a short time. There is some walking with short descents and ascents to a grassy slope with a view. The path then returns to the forest and begins a steeper descent. After a few minutes of descending, you reach a marked crossroads, where you continue to the left in the direction of Suhega vrh (straight down Strana). After a few minutes of further walking, you enter a forest road, which soon leads you to a hunting lodge. Continue along the road, which soon turns off a steep path to the right. Continue straight ahead, and the road soon leads to a crossroads where you turn right towards Suhega vrha. The road starts to descend a little further, and then you see a marked footpath that turns sharp right off the road. Take the footpath and within a few minutes, a slightly steep climb leads to Suhi vrh.
