Ankaran - Debeli rtič

Access to the starting point:
Take Ankaran, then turn off the roundabout onto Regent Street. Before the road starts to climb (after 10 metres), turn right in front of the post office to park in the pay parking lot in the centre of Ankaran.

Path description:
From the parking lot, walk to the nearby roundabout and continue towards Itali. Continue along the pavement, and we walk along the main road to the Orthopaedic Hospital Valdoltra, where we turn slightly right onto the Vinogradnica Trail. Continue up the asphalt road, with signs along the way, and go left at a higher point, where the asphalt ends after the last house. The path ahead leads us between vineyards, and we pass the antennas at Gažel on the right.
From this part of the road there is a beautiful view of the Bay of Koper and the Gulf of Trieste, and the path begins to descend and after a few minutes we reach the main road. The way forward leads us between the road and the vineyards, but when we reach the crossroads where the road to Zdravilišču Debeli rtič branches off the main road to the left, we carefully cross the road and continue along the macadam road, which continues through the vineyard. The winding path leads in a few minutes to the old observation tower, from where you have only a minute's walk to the information board on the edge of Debeli rtič. If you continue to the right from the signboard, you will reach the last marker in a few steps, with the SPP sign next to it.
