Avtokamp Šimuni - Sv. Vid (otok Pag)

Access to the starting point:
Follow the Adriatic Highway past Senj to Prizna, and take a ferry to the island of Pag. Continue past Novalja and Zrč, through the village of Kolani, where the starting point for the climb to the summit is, to the Šimuni bivouac, where you leave your vehicle in the parking lot in front of the bivouac.

Path description:
From the parking lot of the Šimuni bivouac, continue across the road along the initially asphalt road past the homestead, where the asphalt surface turns to macadam. After about 100 m, after the walls, follow the signs to the right uphill and continue for another 100 m, where the path turns left and gently begins to climb up a not too steep rocky slope. After 20 minutes you reach a plateau where the path starts to descend gently and where you cross cart track. The path still descends to a stone wall in a ravine, where you turn left and after about 150 m, at the trail junction from the village of Kolani, go right. The path begins to climb gently again, to a small plateau and passes alongside a small lake or marsh. There is a final steeper but not too steep climb to the top.
From the top you have a beautiful view of almost the whole of Pag and the surrounding Dalmatian islands, as well as Velebit. In the summer days, the trail can be quite strenuous due to the heat, so it is recommended to carry plenty of liquids with you.
