Belopeška jezera - Bivouac Nogara

Access to the starting point:
From Kranjska Gora, drive to Trbiž / Tarvisio via the Rateče border crossing. Shortly after the border crossing, the road to the left turns off in the direction of the Belopeški jezera / Laghi di Fusine, which you follow up a moderate incline to the large parking lot at the Upper Mangart (Belopeci) Lake.

Path description:
From the parking lot, follow the signs for Bivacco Nogara on the left-hand side of the guest house. The path follows the road and in a few minutes leads to a crossroads where the path to the Zacchi hut branches off to the left. Continue right along the road for a short distance, then bear slightly right at cart track. When the cart track ends, follow the path across the meadow to a crossroads. To the left is route 513 towards the Zacchi hut, and we continue to the right on route 517/A towards the Nogara bivouac. The path then leads us into the forest through which we climb quite steeply for some time. Out of the forest we come to grassy slopes and soon we are at the crossroads again. Turn right towards the Nogara bivouac, and to the left the path leads gently downhill towards the Zacchi hut. Continue along the grassy slopes slightly to the right and you will soon reach a slightly more difficult part of the trail. Here the path climbs steeply and there are a few fixed safety gear to help us. There is a crossing of steep grassy slopes, and then the path becomes more level again and soon leads us to the Nogara bivouac.
