Bistrica pri Tržiču - Dobrča

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the Ljubelj exit and follow the road towards Tržič. Just before the petrol station at Tržič, turn right (towards Tržič) and then immediately left (towards Begunje). Shortly after Bistrica pri Tržiču, the macadam road to Villa Bistrica turns sharp right. Turn right here and then park in a suitable place on the roadside.

Path description:
From the crossroads, continue along the macadam road towards Villa Bistrica. The road, which climbs gently, leads us in a few minutes to the asphalt, where we arrive at the crossroads, at which there is a chapel.
Immediately after the chapel, take a sharp left onto cart track, which passes a nearby dwelling house on the left-hand side (the mountain markers for Dobrča and Bistrica mountain pasture are also visible nearby). Cart track quickly turns into a forest and climbs relatively steeply up to a kind of ridge, from which we occasionally get some views towards Kriška Gora and Gorenjska. When the ridge ends, we continue along the right cart track, which returns to the forest, and we walk along it to a more grassy part (the area called Na planincah).
Further on, cart track climbs quite steeply from time to time, and then leads to several successive crossroads where it comes to rest. At the crossroads, follow the signs carefully, which in time will redirect you to a forest path with cart track. The rather gently sloping path then leads us in a few minutes to Bistriška mountain pasture.
At Bistriška planina, we step onto the road, and we walk along it to the left, where after a few steps we step onto another wider road. Follow the second road up, and we continue along the edge of Bistriška mountain pasture. The road continues to climb moderately through the forest, and then leads to Breška planina, where the hunting lodge stands.
Continue along the road as it returns to the forest, which gradually starts to climb steeper. Higher up we come to a marked crossroads where the marked footpath from Brezij pri Tržiču joins us on the left, and we continue sharp right along the gradually steeper cart track. This is followed by about 20 minutes of walking on the above-mentioned cart track, and then the path leads us out of the forest to the lower part of Lešanská mountain pasture. Continue along mountain pasture upwards, where you quickly reach an unmarked crossroads.
Continue right (shepherd's hut on the left at Lešanska planina for 50 metres and the possibility to continue towards Koča na Dobrči and Dobrča) and continue the ascent along the edge of mountain pasture. After a few minutes of further walking, or more precisely a few metres after the hunting observation post, continue left, where you follow a clearly visible path steeply up to the top edge of mountain pasture, where you regain the cart track, which you left at the hunting observation post. Follow Cart track to the left and cross it to the marked path leading from the Hut on Dobrča to the top of Dobrča. Here continue sharp right and after 5 minutes of further walking you will reach the summit.
