Bohinjska Bela - Galetovec (via Turn)

Access to the starting point:
From the Ljubljana - Jesenice motorway, take the exit for Bled and on to Bohinjska Bistrica. 1 km after Bled, turn right at the junction towards Bohinjska Bela. First drive through the upper part of the village to Podklanec to the railway station, near which park your vehicle.

Path description:
From the parking lot, head back towards the lower part of the village. The path in the first part is not marked. Just after the last houses, turn left across the meadow to the forest edge. At the edge, a path leads uphill to the right to a dark brown wooden house. Immediately after the house, turn right at a fork (left Široka peč), and after a few dozen metres the path turns sharp left, straight uphill. Follow cart track, which climbs steeply through the wods to reach a junction of three paths. Continue on the left path, straight ahead uphill. When you reach the meadow with the cottage, turn left off the road into the wods immediately after it, and join the waymarked path coming from the other side.
The waymarked path leads through the wods to the road, where you turn left along the road and reach the meadow and the Slamniki mountain farm. Just after the farm, a marked path branches off the road right into the forest, which leads us without much difficulty to the Turn Pass, where we see a monument on the left side of the path. The main slope is thus behind us, and we continue along the road ahead, where after about 250 metres the road branches off towards Galetovec (ahead Belska mountain pasture). After about a kilometre's walk along the road, we reach mountain pasture, where a signpost directs us to the left across a grassy valley. After a few minutes of gentle ascent through the forest, you will reach the viewpoint at the edge of Galetovec, where there is a signing-in book, a stamp and a panoramic sign.
