Bohinjska Bistrica - Koča na Soriški planini

Access to the starting point:
a) Drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, then continue driving in the direction of Soriška mountain pasture. When you reach the crossroads where the main road branches off to the right towards Ravne, park in the gravel parking lot at the foot of the former Kobla ski resort.
b) From Selška dolina or Baška grapa, drive to Soriška planina, then descend to Bohinjska Bistrica, where you park in the gravel parking lot at the junction where the road to Ravne branches off to the left.
c) From Železniki, drive over the Rovtarica Pass to Bohinjska Bistrica, where you park in the gravel parking area at the crossroads where the road to Ravne branches off to the left.
d) The starting point can also be reached by train.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the asphalt road in the direction of Soriška planina, and walk along it past the company LIP panel boards Bohinj, d. o. o. , leaving it just a little further from the signpost marking the end of the settlement Bohinjska Bistrica, after crossing the Butanica stream.
The signs for Nemški Rovt direct us off the road to the right, onto a path that climbs along the stream, but mostly passes through the forest. Higher up, you reach a dirt road, which you follow to the right, and quickly emerge from the forest, taking the wider road to the left at the wooden cross. With beautiful views of the Lower Bohinj Mountains, ascend to the village of Nemški Rovt, where, at the homestead at Polanc, continue right onto the road, which descends slightly. After the "last" house you reach a pond, and from there continue on the macadam road (Ravne on the right), which a little further on, at a small football field, turns into cart track. Continue briefly on cart track, then go slightly left onto a track, along which you see some older markings, and higher up return to cart track. Cart track continues to climb slightly steeper and soon splits. Take the left fork cart track, and go right at the next slightly larger fork, continuing to climb transversely to the right. At the lookout point, from where a fine view of Bohinj opens up, continue left to the edge of mountain pasture Strmna. Here the signs point to the right, but in order not to walk on the overgrown path, it is better to continue straight ahead, where you will quickly reach a macadam road, along which you will continue your journey. When the road turns into a forest, turn right off the road onto a well-worn path which quickly leads to the continuation of mountain pasture. Continue along the right-hand edge of mountain pasture, and when you return to the woods, an overgrown waymarked path joins from the right. A little further on you reach a wider macadam road, which you leave just a little further on and continue left in the direction of Soriška planina (straight Orožnova koča), the path leading you along a moderately steep hayfield. After the small cottage, the path passes into the forest, through which it climbs moderately to occasionally steeply, and higher up you cross another forest road. The marked path, along which there are mainly older markings, then leads us along a high-voltage power line, along which we climb for a while, and then cross a road leading to the Vrh Bače prevala. At this point, the path turns into a small valley, and we climb easily up to the main road, which we follow to a large parking lot at the foot of Soriška planina, where there is also a bufe Brunarica. After the information boards, go right and in a few minutes climb up to Litostrojska hut on Soriška mountain pasture.
