Brezje pri Tržiču - Šentanski vrh (po robu)

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Gorenjska motorway at the Podtabor junction, then continue in the direction of Ljubelj and Tržiča. Before the Petrol station, turn right in the direction of Bistrica pri Tržiču, then after the Tržič police station, turn left in the direction of Begunj na Gorenjskem. Continue through the underpass under the main road, and from the nearby roundabout continue "straight ahead", then follow the signs for Begunje na Gorenjskem. The road then starts to climb, and we follow it to the settlement Brezje pri Tržiču, where the signs for Dobrča direct us to the right onto a side road. After about 100 metres we reach a marked parking area, where we park.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue left towards the path along the edge (right path over Bistriška planina), where you will initially walk along the road, and from the road, after the water tower, turn right onto the waymarked path in the direction of Dobrča. The path ahead climbs moderately at first, but steeply higher up, mostly through the forest. As the path levels out, a short path branches off to the right to a viewpoint, and we continue left, where the path leads us along an undistinguished ridge. Higher up, we follow cart track for a short distance, then follow a relatively steep mountain path which comes to rest at Breška gora, where we also emerge from the forest onto the Dobrča airstrip.
Here the unmarked path from Hudego Grabno joins us from the left, and we continue straight up in the direction of Dobrča (Lešanska planina on the right. From the airstrip, where Poldet Bibič's bench is located and from where we have a beautiful view of Gorenjska, the trail returns to the forest and starts to climb steeply. Climb steeply for some time, then cross a grazing fence and, a little higher up, cart track. A little above the track, you reach a marked crossroads at Stine, where you continue straight up (left Koča na Dobrči, right Lešanska planina), passing the nearby hut on your left. Climb steeply for a few minutes, then the path gradually flattens out and occasionally some views open up. There are a few more forks, where you follow the signs, and then the path descends and you reach the next marked fork, where you go right (left Koča na Dobrči).
A fairly steep walk follows, and a little further on we are joined on the right by the path via Lešanská mountain pasture.
Continue towards Dobrča, again on a steeper path, which in about 5 minutes of further walking reaches the top of Dobrča, from which a beautiful view opens up towards the Julian Alps.
From Dobrča we continue in the direction of Šentanski vrh, and we first descend into a small valley between the two peaks, followed by a short moderate climb to the very scenic Šentanski vrh.
Brezje pri Tržiču - take-off point Dobrča 1:25, take-off point Dobrča - Dobrča 1:05. Dobrča - Šentanski vrh 5 minutes.
