Brod - Rudnica (via Široka polica)

Access to the starting point:
Drive to Bohinjska Bistrica, then continue in the direction of Lake Bohinj. Shortly after Bohinjska Bistrica ends, turn right towards Brod. You will then cross a bridge over Bohinjska Bistrica and arrive at the village of Brod, where the route described above begins. There are no parking spaces at the starting point.

Path description:
Shortly after the bridge you will reach the village Brod, where you go left and then walk through the village. At the end of the village, where you can already see the neighbouring village Savica on the other side of the Sava Bohinjka, the signs for Rudnica direct you to the right, and after the "last" house, go right twice more in the direction of Rudnica. A steeper climb follows logging trail, and the path leads us in a few minutes to a marked crossroads, where we continue on a slightly left path in the direction of Široka polica (slightly right direct path).
There is some more ascent through the forest, and then we arrive at a scree slope, over which we ascend crosswise, and during the ascent on the scree slope a beautiful view opens up. Beyond the scree, we arrive below the cliffs, where there is a possibility of falling rocks, and we continue to climb cross-climbing to the left. Higher up, the path is laid and leads us to a marked crossroads from which we continue right in the direction Rudnica (Ribčev laz and Stara Fužina on the left).
A moderate climb through the forest follows, where we climb up the Široki Polica, and a little further on, the beautiful view opens up again, and a bench awaits us along the way, where we can rest.
A little further on we arrive at the hay fields, where another path from Stara Fužina joins us from the left, and we continue to the edge of the forest, where we choose a slightly left path. A little further on, we merge with the direct route, and there is only a little bit of a climb to the top.
