Cerknica (Senior citizens home) - Slivnica (Zatrepi - Slivnica)

Access to the starting point:
From the motorway Ljubljana - Koper take the exit Unec and follow the road towards Cerknica. Just 100 m before Cerknica you will reach a roundabout, where you take the third exit towards Begunje and Slivnica. Continue along the main road to the next roundabout, follow the signs to the senior citizens' home, where you will leave your car in the parking lot.

Path description:
From the senior citizens' home, continue along the road towards Slivnica. After a few hundred metres of asphalt road, you will reach a macadam road leading to Slivnica. Continue straight ahead to the next crossroads and a parking area. Turn right onto a steep, unmarked track, which starts in a meadow and then turns into a forest. Follow the forest track for a while, keeping left at all junctions until you join a forest road. Turn right onto the road, which turns left uphill and joins the marked path from Cerknica. Follow the path for a few hundred metres to the beginning of the plain, then turn right into a pasture. From here you can see the hut and the summit.
Continue across the pasture, where in summer you will come across horses and cows. Then follow the marked path to the hut.
Here you must have a refreshment of kremšnita.
If you wish, you can continue to the top (5 minutes) or to the lovers' bench (3 minutes).
