Češnjice v Tuhinju - Zavetišče na Biba planini (by road)

Access to the starting point:
a) First drive to Kamnik, then continue along the regional road through the Tuhinj valley. Just after the village Laze v Tuhinju, you will reach a petrol station, at which the road to the left turns off towards the villages Golice, Češnjice v Tuhinju and Okrog pri Motniku. Turn left here and follow the slightly narrower road to the village of Češnjice v Tuhinju, where there is a sports ground. Park in a suitable place on the roadside in front of or behind the village.
b) From the motorway Maribor - Ljubljana, take the exit Vransko, then continue driving in the direction of Kamnik. Just after the Kozjak Pass (a pass between Gorenjska and Štajersko), you will come to a petrol station, at which the road to the right branches off towards the villages Golice, Češnjice v Tuhinju and Okrog pri Motniku. Turn right here and follow the slightly narrower road to the village of Češnjice v Tuhinju, where there is a sports ground. Park in a suitable place on the roadside in front of or behind the village.

Path description:
From Češnjice v Tuhinju we continue on the main road, which quickly leads us through lane of a forest to the village Okrog pri Motniku, where a less marked footpath to Menina mountain pasture branches off to the left, and we continue on the road, which soon loses its asphalt coating. Above the village, the road turns sharp left, and then two paths from the Okrog pri Motniku settlement join us on the left, and a little further on we reach a marked crossroads, where we continue to the right in the direction of Doma na Bibi. The road then ascends diagonally to the right, mostly through the forest. When the forest ends higher up, we soon reach a left turn where the path from the Lipa Pass joins us from the right. Continue along the road, which, with beautiful views that reach all the way to Snežnik, leads us within a few minutes of further walking to a fork where the path to the Dom na Biba mountain pasture branches off to the right. At this turn-off, continue to the right and within a minute's walk you will arrive at the aforementioned home.
