Črni Vrh - Veliki hrib

Access to the starting point:
First we drive to Dobrova near Ljubljana and on to Polhov Gradec. At the bus stop in Polhov Gradec, turn right towards Črnji Vrh. After an initial climb, the steepness of the road eases and the road continues past the castle manor. Just under a kilometre from here, we come to a crossroads where we turn left over a bridge (straight Selo). The road then leads us to a large meadow, after which it begins to climb steeply. After the climb, the road leads to a quarry and shortly afterwards makes a sharp right turn. Shortly afterwards it makes a sharp left turn. Just a few metres after this bend, the road to Smolnikar branches off to the right. Take this road, which first descends and then begins to climb. After a few hundred metres from the crossroads, we see a parking lot on the right side of the road.

Path description:
From the parking lot, continue forward and you will soon reach the village. There is a crossroads in the village and we continue on the road on the right, which goes straight ahead. Here the road starts to descend and after a short descent leads us to another part of the village. Follow the road to the last house in the village and, just a few metres before the last house, turn left at cart track. Follow this cart track over a small pass just a few metres to where you leave the path. Bear left into the forest. The summit is reached in less than five minutes walking along a trackless path through the forest.
Orientation is difficult in the fog.
