Črnotiče - Marija Snežna on Gradišca

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Ljubljana - Koper motorway at exit Kastelec, then follow the signs for Podgorje. From the road to Podgorje, turn right towards Črnotiče, and at the church in Črnotiče, turn right on the road, which becomes a dirt road behind the houses. Continue a little further and you will come to a small crossroads where the road to the railway station Črnotiče continues to the right and a football field can be seen on the left. Park near the junction in a suitable place.

Path description:
From the starting point, continue along the road to the left, which leads you by the football pitch, and a little further on you will reach a crossroads where you go right (left to return to the village). The way ahead takes you through the underpass under the railway line, across the meadows and in a few minutes you reach a marked crossroads, where you continue left on cart track in the direction of Marija Snežna (straight ahead Podpeč, or you can climb up to Marija Snežna by following the path leading from Črni Kalo). Then follow the winding, mostly grassy cart track, where at the next crossroads go slightly right, again in the direction of Marija Snežna. A little further on, cart track splits again, but the crossroads is not marked.
Continue along the less visible left-hand cart track (if you continue straight on cart track soon runs out), which gradually starts to climb moderately. Higher up, the path turns slightly to the right, but mostly passes through low forest. At a wooden cross, the path splits again, and we go around the cross on the left. A little further on, we join the marked path from Praproče and after a minute's further walking we reach the pilgrimage church of Our Lady of the Snows at Gradišce.
