Access to the starting point:
Leave the Tornyszentmiklos - Budapest / Budapest motorway at the Balatonvilagos exit and drive north towards Keszthely, Balatonfüred. In Balatonfüzfő turn right towards Veszprem Castle. In Veszprem, go towards Györ and later Zirc. From here, drive for another ten minutes and then you will see the turn-off for Csesznek on the right. In Csesznek, you can leave your vehicle in the large parking lot under the ruins of Cseszneki var, or go to Vasut ut (down the first street on the left) and park there in a suitable place.
Path description:
In Vasut ut you will see tourist information boards and signs for Vasalt ut. Go left here, over the small bridge and then along the forest to the foot of the cliff. Continue to the right and you will reach the first steel cable. The path ahead leads through the Kömosó Szurduk gorge, where the Ostromlok utca ferry forks first to the left, the Varpanorama ferry to the right, and we continue to a bench.
Continue left up the partially difficult path, where some caution is needed due to slippery rocks. The path quickly turns right and becomes quite steep, and the ground becomes increasingly rocky. In the last part, we are helped by a rope, and at the end of the rope we reach the summit, which offers a fine view eastwards to Cseszneki var.
The path described is mainly used for descending, after ascending the ferrata.
