Divača (Lokavska cesta) - Risnik sinkhole (karstology natural learning trail)

Access to the starting point:
Primož exit the motorway at exit Divača, then exit the roundabout at exit Lipica and exit Divača. After the Risnik industrial zone, turn left in the direction of Sežana, Lipica, Divača and the Vilenica cave (straight on the old road towards Ljubljana and Postojna), then exit the next roundabout in the direction of Lokev and Lipica. We continue along the Lokavska road, and soon, after a small right turn on the left, we see a small parking lot and next to it the information boards of the Risnik dugout. As you are not allowed to turn left here, follow the main road a little further, then turn off at a side road and return to the parking lot.

Path description:
Signs for the Karst Natural History Trail point eastwards, to a path that continues above the cliffs. The path leads slightly to the left of the precipice, but occasionally it gets closer, and from the edge of the precipice we can see a beautiful view of the Risnik gorge. The gently sloping path, which is not marked, but is marked with tourist signs at the crossroads, leads us after a few minutes to the south-eastern part of the couloir, where there is a beautiful view of the couloir from the lookout point, and the view extends all the way to the Alps. After the "meadow" sign, the trail turns into lane of bushes and forest, and we follow the trail signs at the crossroads. A little further on, we reach the next signpost "the base of Triglavec", and a few minutes further on, we reach a minor forest road, which we follow to the right. The road then turns right and approaches the railway line, and at the next sign, leave it and go right onto the forest path (if you continue straight ahead, you can reach the Divaška Cave). Continue through the forest, and at the next sign, the path forks. Continue straight ahead, or go left and turn left to reach the valley of Kraški Radvanj (if you choose to take the extension, you will return to the crossroads). There is some more walking through the forest, and then the path begins to climb more visibly (there have been some short, easy descents so far). There are a few more crossroads, where you follow the signs, and then follow the path to the right of the main road to reach the beginning or the end of the circular path.
