Doklece - Janški vrh (by road)

Access to the starting point:
a) Leave the motorway towards Maribor at the Slovenska Bistrica - South exit and head towards Makole and then Majšperk. At the end of Majšperk, at the roundabout, head in the route Žetale - Jurovci. At the first major crossroads, take a sharp left in the direction of Jurovci, Podlehnik (straight ahead Žetale). Continue along the main road to Doklece, where you will see red mountain signs at the crossroads. After the bus stop on the right hand side of the road, park in a small parking area.

b) From Ptuj, head south to Draženci, where you take the motorway towards Podlehnik. Leave the motorway at exit Lancova vas and continue towards Jurovci. At Jurovci turn right in the direction of Majšperk until you reach Doklece, where you will see mountain signs on the left and park in a small parking lot behind a bus stop on the left side of the road.

Path description:
After parking behind the bus stop, turn right along the asphalt road over the Dravinja. At the crossroads, turn left and then keep on the marked asphalt road. The road becomes more and more winding and turns into the forest past a farm, where it becomes extremely steep. The road soon climbs out of the forest to the first houses, past which you continue straight ahead. Soon you come to a crossroads, with mountain signs on the right. The church is already perfectly visible here, and there is an excellent view of the Haloze, Donačka gora and Croatia at the crossroads. Continue along the road on the left until you reach the church, in front of which there is also a bench for resting. In front of the church there is an excellent view to the north, towards Ptujska Gora, Ptuj and Pohorje. On the house to the left in front of the church, there is also a box on the wall with a registration book and the stamp of the Halo Mountain Route (HPP).
