Dolga vas - Piramida (Lendavske gorice) (Opekarniška pot)

Access to the starting point:
Leave the Pomurje motorway at the junction for Dolgo vas, where you take the H7 expressway for a short distance and take the first exit for Dolgo vas. When you arrive in Dolgo vas, you will pass the cemetery, where there is a marked parking lot, but parking is only allowed for visitors to the cemetery. We drive to the other side of the cemetery, where we exit the junction on the left (right Lendava) and then park on the east side of the cemetery.

Path description:
From the parking lot, first cross the main road carefully and then turn right towards Lendava. After a few steps, turn left onto a side road, marked Vinarium Tower and Opekarniško pot. The road then climbs past the fire brigade, and at the part where the road passes through the forest, you reach a marked crossroads where the Opekarniška trail branches off to the left.
Continue on the Opekarniška trail (straight ahead, the marked trail leading along the road continues), which climbs through the lane of bushes, and higher up, turns right and leads to an enclosed garden, where the markings are temporarily lost. Continue along the left-hand side of the garden, passing through lane of bushes and descending gently to reach the foot of the vineyard. Continue along the left-hand side of the vineyard and, higher up, you will see a marking on a steel cable which confirms that you are on the right path. Continue along the edge of the bushes, and a further gently sloping path a little further along the nearby house leads us to an asphalt road, which we follow to the right (if we continue to the left we arrive in Dolgo vas). Continue walking past the houses, and when we reach a crossroads, from which we have a view of the Vinarium lookout tower, we go to the left. The path continues through the lane of a forest, and after crossing a small stream, go left out of the crossroads. There is a climb past a few houses, then the road becomes gravel and turns right a little further on.
At the part where the road turns right, continue straight into the woods and continue along the Opekarniška trail. Follow the markings and arrows through the forest and after a few minutes reach cart track, which you follow to the right. The path ahead leads past a hunting observation post, and cart track gradually widens into a road, and when you reach the houses, the road becomes tarmac. From the nearby crossroads, at which there is a cross, continue straight ahead, and within a few minutes' walk you will reach the Vinarium lookout tower.
From the lookout tower, continue in the direction of the pyramid, and after about 10 minutes' further walking along the road, which ascends gently, you will reach the pyramid, which is located at the highest point of the Lendava mountains.
