Dom na Govejku - Osolnik

Access to the starting point:
From Medvode, drive to the village of Sora, from where we continue to the village of Topole (Katarina). After a few km drive from the village of Sora, we reach the Legastja Inn, and just after it we turn right onto a steep dirt road in the direction of Doma na Govejku. We follow the steep and often rain-damaged road to a marked parking area near Doma na Govejku.
If you find the road to bad, you can park in the valley at a suitable place next to the Legastja pub. This will extend the journey by about 45 minutes.

Path description:
From the parking lot, first walk to the mountain lodge, then continue along the marked footpath in the direction of Osolnik (left Tošč). The path continues along the right side of the sign (the cross), crosses a grassy hay meadow, then passes into a dense forest, where it begins to descend gently. It crosses the slopes to the right, then widens and joins a porer macadam road just ahead. The path continues along the above-mentioned road, but we walk along it for only a few minutes, and then signs direct us to the left onto the ascending path. There is a cross-climb to the right, and then the path lays down, leading us to a crossroads of several paths.
Continue in the direction of Osolnik and continue the ascent on the steep macadam road, which leads us past the log cabin Osovnik (located only a minute from our route) to a small hamlet where we join the road from the village of Sora. Here we continue to the left, climb the steep road almost to the last house, then continue to the right on cart track, which continues to climb moderately over increasingly scenic grassy slopes. At a higher level, cart track turns left and after a further 10 steps leads to the Osolnik peak, on which the Church of Sts. Mohory and Fortunatus stands.
